Created for a Florentine villa from 'artist Francesco Camillians in 1550, was acquired by the Senate of Palermo in 1573. Also known as "the shame" for the nudity of the statues, is in Carrara marble and has 4 trays with extended allegorical figures of the four rivers of the city, four staircases balustrades on which stand statues of mythological gods and bordering ponds and some the upper level a large tub elliptical on which are placed at the center and degrade three small tanks last of which is a statue of the "genius of Palermo." Behind the fountain Palace of the Eagles or the Praetorian Palace, seat of the municipality of the city.
