Literally split in two by Etnea, the square has a side of the monument to Vincenzo Bellini created by sculptor Giulio Monteverde in 1882 on the other hand, the Roman amphitheater in importance second only to the coliseum. On the square facing the church of San Biagio sant'agata known as the furnace, and the palaces Benevento, Tezzano and Paterno's Tuscan in 1870 whose rooms retain most of the original furniture.
