Departing from the Port of Catania by comfortable coach with a licensed local guide, this 5-hour tour takes you to discover Europe’s highest active volcano. Along the scenic drive, your guide will share stories, geological facts, and myths about Mount Etna, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The excursion leads to Rifugio Sapienza, located at an altitude of about 1,900 meters on the southern slope of the volcano. Here, you’ll have the chance to walk around the Silvestri Craters, admire the lunar landscapes, and enjoy breathtaking views of the Sicilian coast. Guests will also have some free time to shop for local products, grab a coffee, or optionally take the cable car for a higher view (ticket not included).
After the visit, return to the Port of Catania in time for cruise reboarding.
