A historical journey through memory, landscapes, and legacy
We invite you to discover the story of the Allied landings in Sicily in July 1943, a decisive moment that marked the beginning of the liberation of Italy and Europe from Nazi-Fascism. This journey will take you to the symbolic places of Operation Husky, along the military routes of the Allied advance: from the beaches of Licata and Gela to Pachino and Noto, through cities and villages that witnessed combat, resistance, civilian suffering, and liberation. You will visit the most significant sites: landing beaches, battlegrounds, air-raid shelters, military cemeteries, places captured by the lenses of legendary war photographers Phil Stern and Robert Capa, the Troina Museum dedicated to Capa, and the Sicily Landing Museum and Phil Stern Pavilion at "Le Ciminiere" in Catania.
This tour, rooted in historical memory, becomes a deeply emotional journey through testimonies, landscapes, and stories—bringing to life a crucial chapter of World War II.

Day 1 – Catania
Arrival at Catania. Transfer to the hotel. Visit the historic center and the Sicily Landing Museum.
Overnight in the Catania area.
Day 2 – Syracuse / Augusta / Primosole Bridge
A day dedicated to the landing zones in southeastern Sicily: Syracuse, Augusta, Primosole Bridge, and the British War Cemetery.
Overnight in the Catania area.
Day 3 – Taormina / Mount Etna / Castiglione di Sicilia
Excursion along the Strait of Messina and visit to Taormina. Ascent to Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe. Stop at Castiglione di Sicilia and visit to a traditional winery.
Overnight in the Catania area.
Day 4 – Agira / Assoro / Nicosia / Troina
A day exploring key inland battle sites. Visit the Robert Capa Museum in Troina and towns that were pivotal in the Allied advance.
Overnight in the Catania area.
Day 5 – Catania / Departure
Free time for personal activities. Transfer to the airport and departure to your original destination.
