The program has been designed for travelers of Sicilian origin who are visiting Sicily for the first time and wish to discover or return to the homeland of their own or their family's roots.
The proposed program should be considered a guideline that can be adjusted according to the group's needs.
For example, it can start in Palermo and end in Catania or vice versa, or begin and end in either Catania or Palermo, depending on the arrival and departure flight schedules, institutional appointments, or specific requests from the participants.
The basic plan includes two days in the  place of origin or its immediate surroundings, allowing for the proper organization of meetings, events, and twinning activities with the place of origin.
BACK TO THE ROOTS TOUR IN SICILY – "SICILIANS AROUND THE WORLD"
Day 1 – Catania – Acireale
Arrival in Catania (port, airport or railway station). Private coach transfer to the hotel. Welcome drink and room assignment. Depending on arrival time, afternoon excursion along the Cyclops Riviera: Acitrezza, Aci Castello, and Acireale. Dinner at the hotel and overnight stay.
Day 2 – Etna – Taormina
Breakfast at the hotel. Guided tour of Mount Etna, including a walk on the recent lava flows and visit to the Silvestri Craters. Traditional lunch in a local restaurant. Afternoon in Taormina: guided visit of the Ancient Theatre and stroll along the main street. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 – Siracusa – Noto
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Syracuse: guided tour of the Archaeological Park (Greek Theatre, Ear of Dionysius, Latomies) and Ortigia island (Cathedral, Aretusa Fountain). Free time for lunch. Afternoon visit to Noto, the Sicilian Baroque capital. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
Days 4–5 – Your Ancestral Town
Two days dedicated to visiting the ancestral hometown or family roots. Overnight stay in a nearby hotel. Possible meetings with local authorities, cultural associations, twinning events and commemorative moments. Half-board included. Lunches on your own.
Day 6 – Palermo – Monreale
Breakfast. Departure to Palermo. Guided city tour: Cathedral, Norman Palace, Palatine Chapel, Teatro Massimo. Free time for lunch. Afternoon visit to Monreale (Cathedral and Cloister). Return to Palermo for dinner and overnight. Evening walk in the historic center.
Day 7 – Segesta – Erice
Breakfast. Visit the well-preserved Doric Temple of Segesta. Continue to Erice, a charming medieval village overlooking the sea. Time for tasting traditional local sweets. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 8 – Palermo – Departure
Breakfast. According to departure time, free time for shopping or final visits. Transfer to the airport. End of services.
